This document represents the PhotoRobot Legal Definitions & Glossary: Version 1.0 — PhotoRobot Edition, uni-Robot Ltd., Czech Republic.
1. Introduction - Legal Definitions & Glossary
This Legal Definitions & Glossary (“Glossary”) provides definitions of terms used across PhotoRobot’s legal documents, including:
- Terms of Service
- License Agreement
- Privacy Policy
- GDPR Privacy Notice
- Data Processing Agreement (DPA)
- Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
- Service Level Agreement (SLA)
- Customer Support Terms
Where definitions differ slightly between documents, the definitions in this Glossary prevail.
2. Key Terms
A
Account
A user account created on the PhotoRobot Cloud for accessing services.
Account Owner
The individual or entity responsible for the Account, billing, permissions and security.
API (Application Programming Interface)
Programmatic interface provided by PhotoRobot for integrating external systems.
Authorized User
An individual permitted by the Customer to access the Service.

Backup
Data copies created for redundancy and disaster recovery purposes, stored within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Billing Date
The recurring monthly date when subscription fees are charged.
C
CL (Controls Local)
Locally installed desktop software requiring a license key for activation.
Cloud 2.0
Enhanced cloud extension enabling hybrid local/cloud workflows and CL synchronization.
Confidential Information
Non-public business or technical information disclosed between Customer and PhotoRobot.
Controller
The entity determining the purposes and means of processing personal data (as per GDPR).
Customer
Any individual or entity using the Service, including Account Owner and Authorized Users.
Customer Data
Any data, content, images, metadata, or files uploaded or processed through the Service.
D
Data Processing Agreement (DPA)
A required GDPR contract governing processing of personal data by PhotoRobot on behalf of the Customer.
Data Subject
Any identified or identifiable natural person whose data is processed.
Device Log / Diagnostic Log
Technical data generated by Robots or software, used for troubleshooting and analytics.
Downtime
Periods during which the Service is unavailable, excluding maintenance or force majeure.
E
Enterprise Customer
A Customer with a custom commercial contract, higher-tier SLA, or premium support.
F
Firmware
Embedded software running on PhotoRobot Robots controlling motors, sensors and internal logic.
Force Majeure
Unforeseeable events outside reasonable control (natural disasters, large-scale outages).
G
GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)
EU Regulation 2016/679 governing data protection and privacy.

Hosting Provider
A third-party provider responsible for infrastructure hosting (e.g., Google Cloud Platform).
I
Incident
Any event affecting availability or performance of the Service.
Intellectual Property (IP)
All copyrights, trademarks, patents, trade secrets, software, firmware and documentation owned by PhotoRobot.
L
License Agreement
Contract granting permission to use PhotoRobot's software, firmware, CL, Cloud 2.0, and related components.
Licensed Software
Controls Local, Cloud 2.0 software components, activation utilities, installers and tools.
M
Maintenance Window
Pre-scheduled period for updates, during which the Service may be temporarily unavailable.
Metadata
Data providing information about other data, including timestamps, parameters, project settings.
Monthly Uptime Percentage (MUP)
Percentage of minutes in a calendar month when the Service is available.
P
Personal Data
Any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
PhotoRobot Robots (Robots)
Physical devices produced by PhotoRobot, such as TurnTable, Cube, Robotic Arm, Frame, Carousel and related modules.
Processor
Entity processing personal data on behalf of the Controller (PhotoRobot acts as Processor for Customer Data).

Remote Access Session
Temporary support session where PhotoRobot engineers access Customer systems with permission.
Rendering / Processing Queue
Cloud-based system where uploaded assets are processed into final formats (3D spins, images).
S
SCC (Standard Contractual Clauses)
EU-approved transfer mechanism for personal data sent outside the EEA.
Service
Collectively: PhotoRobot Controls Cloud, Cloud 2.0, APIs, project management tools and all cloud functions.
Service Credits
Compensation applied under SLA if availability falls below guaranteed levels.
Sub-Processor
A third party engaged by PhotoRobot to process personal data on its behalf.
Subscription Plan
Pricing tier defining features, limits and billing terms.
Support Terms
Customer Support Terms governing support processes and standards.
T
Terms of Service (ToS)
Primary contract governing use of the Service.
Token / Access Token
Authentication token required for secure API or Cloud access.
U
Unauthorized Use
Any activity prohibited by the AUP or ToS.
W
Warranty Disclaimer
Statement that the Service is provided “as is,” as included in ToS and License Agreement.
